Saturdays January 10th to February 14th 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
UnionStudio Yoga is offering a new six week introductory course with Taisha Weber and Trish MacNeil.

Series begins September 20th. Beginning a yoga practice can be intimidating and overwhelming. Preconceived notions that yoga is only for the ultra-flexible, or those with superior strength and balance often keep people away. Yoga, however, is a non-competitive practice that helps build self-awareness and well-being for participants at all levels, and this beginners series is a great way to get started!

Harness Your Core: Return to Center with Niav Connor
Sunday March 1st from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
In this two hour workshop we explore what it means to find our true center and move from that place on and off the mat. Through intelligent abdominal exercises designed to help access our deepest core connection (including bandha work) we learn to tap into a more centered place within. This core work is then applied to a flow sequence including standing and balance poses, arm balances, and inversions. Instead of moving from the extremities we harness the vital power of our center, exerting less energy while retaining stamina, grace and fluidity.

Lower back injuries and conditions affect an estimated 31 million Americans and are second only to the common cold as a reason for a visit to the doctor. If you think about all the work your lower back does throughout your day, every day, itís no wonder it's so vulnerable to injury and strain. But you don't need to feel helpless in the face of lower back pain. Yoga is a healing path that can both help relieve chronic lower back pain and build and sustain consistent lower back health.
