Anusara Yoga's remarkable popularity is due to its uplifting philosophy, epitomized by a "celebration of the heart," that looks for the good in all people and all things. Consequently, students of all levels of ability and yoga experience are honored for their unique differences, limitations, and talents. Anusara Yoga is an elegant system of alignment principles and non-dual philosophy.

Instructor: Jackie Salvesen A nurse by training, yoga is natural extension of Jackie's passion for health, wellness, and healing. Jackie has explored many styles of yoga and is particularly drawn to the Anusara method of heart opening, detailed alignment, and community.Registered with Yoga Alliance in 2008, she has completed both a 200 hour hatha yoga certification and a 300 hour Anusara training with Todd Norian and Ann Greene.
As a current high school teacher in Andover, Jackie transfers her education skills into the practice setting of yoga. Appealing to multiple learning styles and levels, Jackie's Back to Basics class is perfect for both the beginner and experienced practitioner. If you are newer to yoga it offers the basics of body mechanics and yoga postures along with Anusara's heart lifting Tantric philosophy. If you are more experienced it will give you the opportunity to refine your practice leading to greater self-reliance. Students are honored for their unique differences, limitations, and talents.
Yoga has been life affirming and life changing for Jackie. She strives to build confidence in students' physical practice while providing tools for daily living.

Jenn is a certified Anusara-Inspired teacher. Her classes are infused with attention to anatomical alignment and creative expression that bring out each student' s individual uniqueness and beauty. Jenn's teaching style is both transforming and healing. She also holds a Masters in Nutritional Education and is a Registered Dietitian. Jenn speaks regularly and offers workshops on health and wellness.
