This class is designed to strengthen your core and connect you with your authentic inner self. Meditation in movement, breath awareness, and complete relaxation in motion are some of the basic components of this class. Michele draws from a diverse array of movement techniques. She combines important core strengthening asanas with balancing, flowing and heart opening asanas for a truly unique yoga experience.

A yogi and a nurse, Michele began practicing yoga when she was an exchange student in Paris studying French language and culture in 1988. Certified in Forrest Yoga in 2005 and Pre-natal yoga 2011, she has continued throughout her adult life to practice and study various yoga disciplines. In 2000 she studied Ashtanga yoga in Mysore, India with Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois and studied Indian philosophy with a local Indian professor. Her travels to Tibet and Nepal inspired her love of Buddhism and Eastern philosophy. Once back from India she married and had two children who have been the main focus of her life for the past nine years. She continued her yoga practice through the years and taught yoga yoga while living in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood. Michele has worked as a nurse, she loves teaching yoga because she enjoys helping others find out for themselves how yoga can effect positive change in their lives.
