My name is Chris Miyachi and I've been doing all kinds of yoga for thirty years.
I am currently enrolled in teacher training in the Iyengar system with Patricia Walden. I take local classes weekly with Iyengar teachers Patricia Walden, Peentz Dubble, and Karen Wenc.
In the summer of 2006 I completed a 500 hour Forrest Teacher Training Foundation course and in 2007 I completed the Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training (75 hours). I've assisted Ana Forrest at a weekend workshops, teacher training intensives and the Yoga Journal Conference in Boston since 2007. I've also completed an apprenticeship at Back Bay Yoga in Boston with Lynne Begier where I have taught.
Since I am also a certified group exercise instructor and personal trainer, I became certified in Yoga Tune Up. Yoga Tune Up takes exercises from many movement systems to help students gain the strength, mobility, and mindfulness to do classic yoga poses.
Other workshops I've attended are with Shiva Rea, Erich Schiffman, Barbara Benagh, Julie Gumasted, Heather Tiddens, Desiree Rumbaugh, Richard Freeman, and Tias Little.
I am a certified Forrest Yoga teacher and an RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) at the 500 hour level.
