This Practice is designed to help you transition from the intensity of your weekly commitments and work to a relaxed state of mind. We'll start the class with a slow flow of asanas to "undo the doing" and quiet the mind. We'll then move into the combination of Yin and Restorative Yoga which teaches the body to surrender by allowing soft tissue to release, muscles to relax and deepen physical openings. Yin emphasizes deep release with long holds which promote greater circulation of energy through the channels of the body. Restorative yoga is designed to give you an experience of relaxation and serenity using props to enhance your poses while stimulating and soothing the organs of your body and balancing your well-being. This quiet and contemplative yoga practice teaches your body when to be active and when to relax for increased performance, reduced stress and healing.
